    Hi guys,

    nice to meet you all.

I have a Asus M2C and I have a major problem, the DVD-ROM in my laptop is detected by the device manager and the bios, but it does'nt read any disk i put in it.

    burnt or retail made.

i need to reformat as i really need my DVD-ROM for work.

when i try to reformat the disk isnt read before the windows boot screen, i've set the dvd drive as the first device in the boot order as well.

Please could someone help me, it will be really appriciated.

Kind regards and thanks in advance,

    jason

    thanks for that suggestion.

i have tried uninstalling it, restarting, shutting down, turning back on with it sloted in before and after windows boots up.

however it does seem to read any disks.

    anyone have any other suggestions?

    all greatly appricated.

    kind regards,

    jason
