I have quite of bit of time in on this one.... the V6v's 2x dvd-rw is the ONLY dvd burner that is made that will fit in that super slim slot. Everyone who has wanted a dvd burner on the M5/Z33/W5 have to get this drive.

The only thing you have to do is pull off the combo drive's faceplate off of your current drive and swap it with the V6's faceplace that would be on this drive. It's a perfect swap because they are both made by the same company..... It's a nice way to work it.

no..... only 1.25gb...... 256mb is built onto the board....... so there is only one open so-dimm....... in there you can put a 1gb stick... totalling the system out to 1.25gb.

You're not going to get it to run true dual channel unless you ran the stock configuration which is 256mb on board and 256mb in the open dimm....

Just more of a curious question. how is the lcd on the w5a would you say justin that it has the same issues or whatever u want to call it as the w3v with the viewing angles and back lit or does it have better viewing angles. cause i find most 14.1 have those same issues or attributes just wondering if the 12.1 in widescreens have the same effect?

I don't think the W3's has "issues", but I think know the W5's screen is nicer. Technically you're looking at two screens with the same resolution, but the W5's is smaller........ so it's going to be sharper. Since most people think the W3's screen sharp enough for a 14" widescreen........ it's even more sharp on a smaller screen.

Even though these comparisons I did don't really show off the viewing angles much, if you study both you'll see the quality of the screens during moderate angles which are still more than most people would ever use them......... the only reason you don't see more of an angle is because both of the following were comparisons of other things, you just happen to see different angles due to placement and such.

IM not gonna bash the w3v cause its a great pc but if you watch a dark dvd on the z63a which i had the colors invert just by moving you head at no point could i get the dvd to show the acurrate colors on the whole screen it was either the top or bottum not at once. it is a good screen if u do anything else with it but it has its short coming. and it doesnt have light leakage at all i know that. but im sure you know what im talking about justin. and im by no means bashing asus because all the other manufactures with that size screen have the same exact issue. but ive never seen a 12.1 in in person so i have no idea how those compare.

Well, if that's what you're talking about....... that's actually what my one comparison was for... and if that's the case, then I've already said enough about it :) I think you just got a bad one.
