    Hi,

Last night I rebooted my G1s to find a completely black screen. There is no image at all so its not the backlight. Not even BIOS displays, but I can still boot into my Linux and Windows partitions and hear system sounds suggesting everything else is still working.

Ive tried using the LCD on/off and LCD to external monitor keyboard shortcuts. I also tried connecting to an external monitor with VGA and HDMI and the screen did not detect any signal. When I did this I also noticed my system did not seem to detect the connection as the system usually plays a sound when attaching HDMI or VGA.

The computer had booted to a blank screen once before, and that time it fixed itself after a few reboots. Not this time. Strangely, besides this, there weren't any other warning signs.

I recently installed a Linux partition on my HD, and I don't know if it was just by coincidence that the blank screen issue happened after I had to reboot Linux as it had crashed when trying to Hibernate or Suspend. I was ( I thought) using the proprietary drivers.

I'm assuming the graphics card is dead, but please let me know if there is anything else I can test. I'm planning to call ASUS support Monday to send it in for repair.
