    First of all: :(

I just ordered a W7J because it seems to be the best notebook under 2kg on the market atm. But there's a problem. This morning I a got an email from the online store from which I ordered the laptop, which said that the W7J was no longer produced and because of that, it was out of stock.

So my question is; what should I then get ? There doesn't seem to be any other laptops on the market atm that compares to the W7J expect for some of the Sony VAIO's, but unfortunately there doesn't seem to be any Sony Laptop dealers in Denmark.

    Thanks in advance :)

Dell XPS M1210 would be the closest thing to the W7J, when configured with the Go7400 graphics card.

aren't there any other reseller selling W7J's? you could just wait for them to restock... i don't think it's wise to opt out for something else if W7J is really what you want especially for the reasons mentioned above.

For them to quickly bring up the weight in KG - I'm going to assume they're not in the US... That and also the P model they're referring to never sold here either.

For the OP... as Eddie mentioned, the current US model (W7J-3P115C - c refers to vista), is the "current" model and still being made.... So, your country my not have it, but it's still being made.

Hmm bugger :/ I'll try and get hold of another dealer, I am simply not going with a Dell. Thanks for the tip though ;)

3P055P is the only model that I can find on www.edbpriser.dk which is a site like http://www.kelkoo.co.uk/ and such :)

In addition, ASUS does not mass produce. When they ship units, they come in small groups. Best to grab it while they are still hot :p

Asus builds on an order by order basis from their different market offices... so they pump out about 500 of a certain configuration at a time...... and maybe 2,500-3,000 of a model (ie: w7) in one day...... and then they only make that same model on maybe two days out of the month........ so they come and go, but that's typically enough to keep everyone stocked.

Alright it's just impossible to find W7J 3P055P that I'm looking. I have even looked at a few dealers from Germany. They don't have it neither, they only have the 3P053P and the 3P020P :/
Edit: just to sum up the difference between the 3P055P model and the 3P053P; The 3P055P has 1.5gb ram instead of 1gb ram, and the Go 7400 has 256mb ram instead of just 128mb ram

They have Sony laptops in Germany though, so I have been thinking about getting some kinda of VAIO. I have no clue on which one to pick though. Maybe I should post a topic in the Sony forums ?

The W7 was never offered with more than 128mb of dedicated vram... I can assure you of that one. The US would have been the first to jump on it. Also, at this point "P" models are those w/ XP Pro, and I know that Taiwan physically stopped producing models with XP before the end of December.... so, chances are you're not going to see that model, unless it ends in "C" which would be a Vista model.... you've probably got a better shot at that.
