I think I may have pushed a button during start up, but I Have no idea what button that would have been. I have an Asus G51... Got it because of the mark down with the new models coming out.

Anyway.. Whenever i start up my desktop icons are not visible. I right click then view and "Show Desktop Icons" is already checked. So I have to uncheck and then recheck them in order to get them to show up.. I have to do this process after every start up.

How can I set them to view on startup?

    Thank You!

Try pressing FN+Shift. I'm betting you are in the battery saving mode, which will remove desktop icons.

Thank you sir. Very much appreciated. That does appear to have been the problem.
