I have a DETEL ASUS S96S and the screen from time to time gives me multiple screens and split screen ( The left side of the screen starts in the middle of the screen and wraps around style). And some time 3 screens at the same time.
Is this caused from a bad lcd converter board, ribbon, processor, or bad screen?

Split screen syndrome is primarily the LCD, rare chance it could be the motherboard. Have you tried to display it externally? If it doesn't do it externally then you have a bad LCD. Also moving to ASUS subforum.

Yes it does look like that multi split screen. I thought that maybe it would be the lcd converter or the nvidia ge force 8600m gs video chip. What are your thoughts on this? Someone else said to try any external vga monitor witch sounds right, But if the internal wired connections of the chip that go to the vga are fine and the one that goes to the lcd converter that is conected to the lcd screen is bad i could still have a bad chip. :( It does not do it every time just about 70 % of the time. And something else. If i would want to increase this graphics chip what would i change it to? I would like to play W.O.W. on this laptop! Funny thing is i even took the fan out and blew out the heat sink and still nothing.

It means your laptop is about to die. There's currently a lawsuit regarding mac, dell, and hp which use about the same video card. The 8000's graphic card were built faulty and they are in the process of being sued. Asus isn't even consider part of the lawsuit so everyone with an Asus laptop is screwed. If you just bought the laptop return it and get ur money as fast as you can. If not pray you still have some warranty on your video card and get it fixed asap. Might not make a difference though so good luck with that. F*u*c*k Asus for their poor service for doing nothing and f*u*c*k nvidia for their faulty graphic card.

    ATI from here on out......................
