I am new to the Asus Notebooks. I was wondering what the difference is between the V6v and the V6Va?

Do all of these models use the IPS screen?

Are the newer models using IPS or MVA type displays?

The V6 series has been EOL and out of production for nearly 2 years. As I recall, the only major difference between the V and Va models was the screen and the gpu, although there could have been a slight bump in cpu speed or HDD size.

Only the V6va models used the IPS screens (not the V6V), and Asus has not extended this into any of their newer or current models since then (except, perhaps, the Lamborghini series) due to the substantial increase in LCD cost, to my knowledge.
