I have heard that Asus laptops are among the best that are currently being made. I am currently seeking to replace my Dell Inspiron that I have had for the last 4.5 years. The N61JV appears to have all of the specifications that I am looking for, and I am close to a purchase. However, there is a catch!
On Amazon, there is both an N61JV X-2 and an N61JV X-4. The X-4 is about $400 less, but it appears to have the exact same specifications as the X-2. I can't find anything different about the computers: They have the same processor, RAM, Video Card, etc. Here are the Amazon pages for each product:
X-2:

X-4:
http://www.amazon.com/N61JV-X4-16-Inch-Versatile-Entertainment-Laptop/dp/B004071TO0/ref=dp_ob_title_ce
In addition to this mystery, I can find other reviews of the X-2 through a simple google search, while searching for the X-4 refers me back to Amazon. On the Amazon website there are 56 customer reviews for the X-2, and none for the X-4. I called Amazon and the customer service guy seemed to know about as much as I did, and Asus' customer support website is a labyrinth, I couldn't find a number to call or even an email. The actual Asus website doesn't even list an "X-2" or an "X-4," they only have a product page for the N61JV line. Does anyone have either of these computers? Is this deal too good to be true or should I jump in?
Difference between N61JV X-2 and X-4?
