I can buy the G1S at BestBuy for $1,549.99, yet online retailers, such as Newegg, are asking well over $1,700 for the same notebook. What gives? Why is there such a large price disparity between the two?

Also, I have heard that it is bad to go with BestBuy when it comes to notebooks. Should I stick with an online retailer instead and forget BestBuy? Is there any reason not to buy a laptop from BB? Any advice would be appreciated.

Slower processor(t7500 vs t7700 I believe), Slower HD(160gb 5400 vs 200gb 7200 I believe), no backpack, no mouse, 1 year less Manufacture warranty, and no 1 year accidental warranty - both last points to get you to buy BB's "Product Service/Replacement Plan".

The faster processor and HDD only comes with the G1S-B1. If you get the G1S-A1, the processor and HDD are the same. Everything else is as coriolis posted above :)
