Ok now what conditions must be met for the "Turbo" or the "Turbo Extreme" to stay on and working. Their manual only says "system sources must not be over used". I'm barely using 10% of my cpu right now and was just wondering if it'd work since i would like to play crysis but "Can you run it" suggest i have a 2.20Ghz Dual Core CPU and mine's a weak measly 2.13Ghz. So i figured the Turbo option would let me play it.

the CPU is rarely the limiting factor. 99 time out of 100, its the GPU.

Ok so it'll always be nearly on fire 24/7... -_- so then my question is what the hells the point in even putting that Turbo feature on it then?

First, system requirements are always not accurate. The point of Turbo is to, uh, overclock the CPU. Did you happen to realize people use Asus laptops for more than just gaming?

Second, 80 - 90 C is not "on fire". 92+ is. If your a wimp, get a cooler from newegg. The GPU will always be warmer than the CPU as the two temperatures can't be compared.

-_- i was using the over clock feature to help me do things besides gaming i'm a coder and i like responsiveness and such. And then why doesn't it work? Can you explain then why it always auto reverts if it's supposed to work all the time "All mighty one"

Well, you weren't very clear that Turbo wasn't actually working.
Direct Console is very buggy anyways, and you'd be better off purchasing a new CPU, though that will void your warranty.

You never mentioned that you were using the OC to do anything but play Crysis.

x.x gah but my parents have already got a 3 year warranty on this thing... -_- so i guess that means i'm ed.... oh well... and so what you're saying is my GPU is supposed to be able to get up to 90C before i worry? b/c the speedfan thing has a fire symbol for the icon for the temp. and it's red... :/ at ~60C.

    Completely disregard that.

Safe temps for the GPU are around 75-85, though 90 won't do much harm. Undervolt, apply Arctic Silver 5 and get a Cooler. There are various guides on those things on the this forum, search around.

replace the thermal pads AFTER your warranty expires. removing the copper assembly breaks the warranty-void seal.
