I just downloaded Direct Console 2.0 for Vista 64 bit. When I install it, the program errors out and states

"Sorry, this program only supports ASUS notebook."

My laptop is an ASUS G50Vm-X1. Is there something I should be installing before I try to install Direct Console?

You need to install P4GX first I believe. Here's the order in which I install drivers and utilities after a fresh OS install which works everytime on my G50V-A2

    1. INF Update
    2. IMSM
    3. ATK0100 (detected by win7, newer one on Asus site)
    4. ATK Generic Function Utility
    5. KB Filter
    6. ATK Hotkey
    7. ATKOSD
    8. VGA (detected by win7) newer one at nvidia site
    9. LAN (detected by win7)
    10. Audio
    11. WiFi (detected by win7)
    12. Wireless Console
    13. Ricoh Card Reader (detected by win7)
    14. CMOS Camera
    15. Touchpad
    16. ITE Remote (install through device manager)
    17. ATKMedia
    18. Lifeframe
    19. P4GX
    20. DirectConsole2
    21. BlueTooth

You can actually run the CD if you put it into vista compatability mode and let it do its thing. Ive done XP manually which DC doesnt work on. Not sure what I have installed on 7 at the moment but the only x86 asus app at the moment is DC and its working.
