    Very frequently i'm getting the following error after Vista boots up
    Microsoft Visua C++ Runtime Library:

    Runtime Error!

    Program: ...ogram Files (x86)\ASUS\Direct Console\Direct Console.exe

    This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
    Please contact the applications's support team for more information.

    Sometimes after a restart it works fine, sometimes it doesn't at all. The LCD display just keeps the 'Republic of Gamers' slogan and logo and won't actually load what I had programmed it to do (show the battery status). I start the task manager and direct console is shown in the processes, I close it and try opening it again and nothing. I press the little Direct Console button and nothing either. I haven't installed or done anything at all to my laptop since when it worked fine until now. All I did was bring from my office to home.

    Any help is much appreciated!

    Just to add to the fun, it seems everytime I restart after getting this hour my processor goes back up to 100% usage which really makes me mad as I thought I was done with that issue. I only get it to go away by turning my notebook off for 30 minutes. Then it all happens again.

    Anyone have any idea. I've now reinstalled Direct Console from the Driver and Utility Disc and still the same error. I dont understand why I get it because I haven't done anything to my actual system for it to come up like this!

    Alright I re-installed Microsoft C++ Runtime Library and Direct Console. The Asus tech support kept saying to download DC version 3.0 but the latest I could find on their site is 2.0.5. Anyways by doing all that I was able to load up my system without the error anymore, but could not open Direct Console with the hot key. So i tried loading it up by using the start menu and the little icon shows up in the bottom right but when i click on it, the DC screen is all garbled. But if I right click on the icon and click 'Run As Adminstrator' it loads up and after about 2 minutes the screen comes up as normal.

    So as of now all I can run Direct Console, but only if I run it from the start menu and 'as administrator' which my profile already is.

    Very odd and confusing!
