    on my C90... while i am playing COD4... it will get a black screen and either crash the game or recover about 15 seconds later... any ideas? maybe a different driver?

    i am using 163.69

    try 169.04 or wait for COD4 optimized drivers?!? I should be getting the game in a few days.

    dude... it is so good... and thats an understatement

    ya i think i will... just annoying every 15 minutes it freezing... and i come back dead a few times... haha

    Did you try other games? I had similar problems in all 3D applications and now my C90 is in teh service for over a month... i'm going mad.. :d

    OK, there are 2 work around for the "DX error".

    One, if your running xfire, shut down xfire before running COD4, then change the resolution and graphics to desired setting and save. Now you can let xfire run again.

    Two, if your not or also running xfire, go to your profile in the program directory and find the resolution. Change it to your monitors resolution and save. Now you should be able to go into your game and change any other settings. This does not require you to kill xfire for changing the settings.

    Other fixes include manually updating DX and new graphics drivers, but those 2 above have worked the best.
