I have the ASUS Q502 Laptop and I can turn the backlight off by using the fn+f3 keys but it doesn't seem to stay off. Is there a setting where I can permanently disable it?

This is solved... After I did the updates and rebooted the issue just went away.

Rather than a new thread for something simple can someone tell me how to make num lock stay on by default?

I have a Windows 8 desktop and it's always on but this laptop it's always off...
