    Please i need someone to help me wit my laptop problem, 'whenever i press the power button to switch on d laptop it wont on, its only when i press d instant fun key dat d system will on but it wont have any brightness, the backlight wont on. Please i need help, if u av any ideal please post it or mail me [email protected]. I count on everybody please dont fail me

    Your backlight may be dead, or it could be a larger issue with the motherboard or something. If you hook up an external monitor, do you get any video signal? On those older systems I think that button is only for CD playing capabilities, it doesn't actually turn the whole system on. If the power button won't turn your system on you can look for a reset hole on the bottom of the laptop that's labeled >o< and poke it with a paperclip for 10+ seconds. If that doesn't work you have some sort of low level problem, you can try taking out one stick of memory at a time to see if it's a problem with your RAM.
