    Hi!
I'm new in here, so I shall start with - Good Day Everyone! Having done that, I better get to the main point of my thread - I am facing disassembling of a N61VG laptop in order to change hinges (the right one broke :S). Unfortunately I can't find full disassembly procedure for my laptop. I found a guide (on this forum) for the fairly similar N61VN but it doesn't include the procedure to disassemble the monitor part. Could anyone please help me with appropriate info?
    Cheers

You need to remove the bezel on the screen in order remove the hinge.

Just remove the rubber pieces on the bezel and remove the screws to take of the screen bezel.

Thanks for your response. However, I'm not sure if that will do the trick since the hinge broke surprisingly (cause it seems to be made out of metal) somewhere along the red line ( [IMG]). I went through various disassebly procedures of asus laptops, and it seems that i have to take apart (every single part) of the keyboard-part-of-the-laptop, and put apart most part of the screen-part-of-the-laptop in order to get the entire hinge out. Before I get down to it however, I would like to have the right manual (and not base it of similar models). How/Where can i get the entire disassebly guide for N61VG (or at least N61VN - the one on the forum, doesnt include the screen-part)? It's just my first time repairing a physical damage to a laptop and I don't want to mess it up.
    Many thanks

    Cheers

If I remembered correctly there is one N61 model that has a glass cover the screen bezel, does your does your N61VG model has one?
