Since plugging a headphone in my laptop doesn't switch off the built-in speakers anymore and considering the fact I mainly use headphone I wanted to disconnect the internal speakers. But I don't succeed in opening anything. And I don't particulary want to unscrew everything. So here is my question does someone have a disassembly/maintenance guide for Asus laptop (any model) ?

Plugging in your headphones still causes sound to come out of the built in speakers?

This might be a dumb question, but are you sure you're plugging your headphones into the headphone jack and not the microphone jack? o_O

    :D Yes.

When I use Windows after some plug and unplug operation I succeed switching off the speakers but with linux whatever I do I can't switch it off anymore. And I mainly use linux . I heard it's a capacitor malfunction.

The Info Booth has some disassembly guides listed but yours isn't among them as far as I can tell..
