I had an experience with ASUS, I bought someone else asus laptop, it had been registered, when I tried to claim warranty, they don't do it since I'm not the orignal owner
Because I used to upgrade my laptop every year, I will sell this one later but if I register right now, the buyer will probably lose warranty
So I'm wondering if I must register the laptop or not to claim normal warranty
-
Registering warranty only affects the acidental damage 1 year and has nothing to do with the 2 year global.
Also, people have claimed that the warranty was transferrable.

I think if you ask asus, the warranty is NOT transferrable. But if you never mention it (and go by the serial number and manufacturing date), they'll honor the warranty.
-
Well, they asked what your name is
They told me my name isn't the original owner's name, didn't offer warranty -
Guess it depends to whom you speak.
Do I have to register?
