here's the deal. I have a Dell Mini 9, which i love. I really wish at times though I had more space (to install Vista) and other programs (like photoshop) so I wouldn't have to take my big laptop with me on vacations and stuff to edit photos I take.

Also, being a student, I type a lot of papers on long rides to and from school and find the mini's keyboard sort of cramped.

Seeing the price of the EEE1000HE, Is it worth it to upgrade?

If anyone has it, how is the noise level (can you disable the fan??) and keyboard?

Well I've heard vista runs just fine on the netbooks....

Its just for vacations and stuff (along with class). I have a regular 15" laptop for my regular stuff, its just carrying that along with me on the airplane isn't exactly ideal.

Use vLite to reduce the size of Vista, as well as increasing speed. I don't know about Photoshop - maybe use another program that is more 'lite'? You can also install stuff onto an SD card, or something...
