As in, do all of them have the fault where if the computer switches between the main battery and the hot-swap battery, will just die? (never to work again T_T )
Just wondering, since my notebook is like that and I know it's a common problem, but want to know if it's possible for it to be fixed/replaced.

No, this is only when using the wrong batteries. You cannot use V1J batteries in the V1S, unfortunately Asus sold them for the V1S.
They have developed new modular batteries that work with the V1S, so let them exchange your wrong V1J battery for the V1S one. -
Is it possible that they would mistake the batteries twice?
I've actually had both the modular bay battery and the main battery replaced before (both of them stopped working.) And now I'm replacing the main battery again :-/ -
It is quite possible that they do that, unfortunately. Maybe you could use the serial # of the newer batts that work (they are posted around in the V1S battery wear thread, I think, but a Search should find them) to explicitly tell them which battery they should put in the next time.

Oh, you're right. My modular bay battery says V1J451... I guess I'll ask for a replacement after I get a new main battery.
Do all V1s share the battery switching problem?
