Do anybody Know How to mod a Internal Blutooth module into Asus Laptops

Hai guys,

I know that Notebook review is a Hut for all Notebook Experts.

But I want to know about the procedure about how to mod a Internal Module into a Asus Notebook and wher can I get that module?

It would be based on your laptop as some models have the slot on the motherboard for the card and others don't...... and about 95% of those that have that slot also already have the bt card installed..... so that really limits what models without bt could technically be upgraded.

 

How about the A8Jm/s and F3Jm/v ? And where does one buy these modules ?

Some dealers sell them, just send off emails and see if they have it or not.

The A8 series has a slot for BT, though you have to completely disesemble the whole unit to find it, not sure about the F3.

Other question might be.......are the Bluetooth modules universal? Would a bluetooth module from one Laptop fit in another Laptop from a different manufacturer?

 

I would like to know how to get internal bluetooth into the A8Js too.

 

You can order an A8JS with internal bluetooth from portableone, though that probably voids the 2 year global warranty.

Yes it is practically impossible for the end user to mod a8j with a bt module unless you can get your hands on the cable. Then even when you do get yoru hands on the cable you have to gut the notebook. There is a way to do it without gutting it but i am not sharing. You want internal buy it from a dealer or try it your self. Then also keep in mind your warranty and where it comes from. Adding bt voids asus warranty atleast acording to asus

 

Anyway you can offer a kit to end users? Or what would the price be if people brought in their A8jm/s to your store and get it installed?

 

If you guys want to have bluetooth on your A8Js/m its best to get it through a dealer. Reasons are:

1)you get warranty
2)save your time
3)its not that more expensive (50-70 - pending)
4)if you don't know how to do it, it's best let people who have
5)less chances of you to screw up if you did
6)saves you from making mistakes
7)its no more than $100 more with warranty
8)I know I would feel more secure
9)yes I know I am very repetitive!

 

It is not possible to offer this kit to a customer that cant guarantee the dealer that they will not come back for support. The kit without any guarantees or support would cost upwars of 100$. Some dealer will give it to you for less. i wont. We will mod any laptop if brought into the store. It would cost you about 80$ and it would not include any type of warranty. If asus says sorry you have no warranty dont come crying to me i wont help you unless you bought the laptop from our a8j customize page which has our own warranty.
