    Hi all,

Do the G1S need the SATA driver to installing the XP, I have the original XP disc that have not the SATA driver, how to install XP on my G1S?

I see Vista on my G1S have the intel Matrix Storage Software, so thinking the XP need SATA driver before install by using F6 to load the driver ..

Thank, I need XP and Windows Server 2003 can work on my G1S.

You will need to slipstream the SATA drivers into an XP .iso using nLite (free software). It is a bit of a hassle, but once you burn the disc, you're good to go.

If slipstream is too complicate you can try flash the BIOS to 205 and set SATA from enhance mode to compatible mode in BIOS, when set to compatible mode the XP installation will not ask you for the SATA driver.

Thx for all, I thinking I can try the nLite first. if failed then using BIOS 205.

But do using the BIOS 205, the performance will be drop down compare with the native SATA AHCI mode?
