Ive been hearing about how the DC overclocks the T9400 to 2.8GHz in the G50 and G71. Does this also apply to the P9500 and the T9600? Thanks.

Bump up. Come on guys, this is really crucial to my decisions.

I do not have details on how DirectConsole works, but I think it does it by increasing the FSB? I would imagine that that would work for any kind of (compatible) CPU.
But my knowledge in this area is limited, so don't base your decision only on my reply. If noone knows for sure, how about calling ASUS? -
I will try that, excpt not now as it's 5AM and I just watched the Chelsea v Arsenal game. furious at that outcome.
What about those G50 owners on NBR? Surely someone opted for the T9600? -
Try posting a link to this thread in the Owner's Lounge, maybe you'll attract their attention.

I would but my iPod cannot copy and paste. Could you maybe post the link for me E B E?

Heh
that's a good one. Yeah, I'll do that.

I would try it out for you, I have T9600 in my G50V-A2, except I run XP and directconsole is incompatible with the XP DLLs, even if you hex edit the installer and EXE to change the windows version check. I don't know a way around that because older versions that do support XP don't support the G50V.

Bump up top!
Anyone besides AllurGroceries have a T9600 equipped G50? -
I don't think Direct console will overclock the T9600. I'm pretty sure 2.8gHz is the max overclock. This has been answered previously, try searching the board. Sorry, can't remember what it was.
Does Asus DirectConsole overclock CPUs other than T9400?
