I actually found the problem with my VGA on my C90S.

On the metal plate that goes on the graphics card, there is 3 holes to put the screw with the heatsink. It happened that those 3 holes were made too big, so the spring-screws that actually go there didn't fit.

What did I do? Well, I thought it was other screws so I used other ones. It unfortunately happened that the screws I used were 1mm too long, and pierced the PCB, one happened to be directly on 2 lines that make the link between the GPU & the MXM port, so they were cut. I highly suspect this being the problem >-<.

I'm still going to send it to Asus' Repair Center at Toronto (well, what do I have to loose? $10?). I'm sure they won't change it, but would they offer me a reparation ? (for a fee) or I'm already doomed to shell another $250?

Also, since there is enough free space near that, could I actually redraw the lines with a mechanical pencil?

Asus has a warranty on the C90S, I already send mine in to have the video card replaced when the first one died about a week after I got it.

In case the problem you are sending the NB with is not covered by the warranty, they will offer to repair it for money, including shipping. Not too cheap though.

I wouldn't. Actually I would mention the missing or incorrect screws to them, and let them deal with the problem.

Well, as long as it's better than $250 lol.

Toronto->Quebec is not really expensive for a package containinh only the VGA. With post canada, it's $10 for 2 day shipping + $200 coverage.

Sending to Vancouver is another thing though....

I received Asus' email. They told that it's better ar the resseller because I'm still on 30 first days but they will take it too.
