Somebody on the gaming forum told me that the z81sp uses the same Uniwill mobo as the Fujitsu Siemens Amilo M3438G/M4438G. I thought that Asus designed and manufactured all of their notebook mobos.

Is he wrong or is this true?

Uniwill is another notebook ODM. I would say no, because they would be putting a competitors component in their product, which makes no sense at all.

Asus does design their own products and manufacture their notebooks, this gives them the ability for quality control, meet more customer demands.

Asus is an ODM in which they make chasis for other brands, like one of the generations of the Macbook and others.
