    After all for a mere $130 they'll come and set up your $300 Playstation 3.

    Best buy is pricing thier laptops like that as temp. One employee told me that a $10,000 net book in the store was just like that awaiting release of windows 7. Once it comes out prices go back to normal. There not actually selling them until then of course.

    Stuff that hasn't met street date is ridiculously priced for a few reasons:

    First, it prevents an accidental sale. The sales associate or the customer will know something is wrong when the item rings up for tens of thousands of dollars.

    Second, theft of said item is automatically becomes grand theft, which is usually a felony under law.
