Does the 12" Asus at Best Buy have the 8600m GS or 8600m GT?

Not sure about the specs but make sure to verify warranties and extra goodies that usually come with Asus laptops. The G2S-X1 from BB excursively did not have the goodies or the warranties that others got from 3rd party sellers such as newegg.

    The U6E-A1 has the x3100.
    The U6S-A1 has the 8400m G.
I highly doubt BB has the GPU listed correctly.

I second that. They may come w/o notebook & carrying bag, possibly with somewhat lower configs, and (what hurts more) with shorter or non-global warranty, and perhaps w/o the accidental damage protection that is now standard in the US.

As to the 8600, I find it hardly possible to put that kind of GPU in a 12", so indeed it's probably a typo.
