    Does the W3J come with the XP CD?

    Because let's say I want to reformat or more likely I want to replace the HDD and I want to install XP on that new HDD, does Asus ship a XP Pro CD with the system? Or do I have to go and purchase another XP because my budget is already straining with having to get the laptop, RAM and HDD..

    Mine came with a full retail copy of XP Pro. I guess it could depend on the reseller though. I purchased my w3j from Proportable.

    It does? I thought I just saw the Restore and Driver CD's with mine and I bought it from Proportable as well...

    A restore CD contains the entire operating system. His questions was does he have to go out and buy another XP CD. The answer is No...it comes with the CD necessary to reinstall his OS.
