I was just working on a facial animations for an unofficial half-life 2 expansion and noticed that the audio, which was recorded on my old gateway 600 series notebook (p4 1.6ghz, 64mb atimobility 7500, 700some ram) and noticed that it really doesn't sound bad at all, despite a faint hdd clicking at some parts (not very noticable, even without all of the echo and gverb effects that i worked into them using an open source recording program called audacity). The mic was right next to the hdd.
Despite the fact that my gateway was louder and had the mic right on the main part of the chassis, my attempts to use my z81 to the same degree where mired by clicks and whines.
Does the z81's onboard audio and/or mic suck???
Does the mic on the z81sp stink???
