my gf has asus f3jp (or f3js i forgot), i can hardly hear her voice and the color on her side is always dark and yellow, i wonder if asus uses crappy build-in webcam on their laptop? is there a way at least to improve her voice quality? she can hear me fine, but i always have to turn up my speakers in order to hear her voice. and once i got other sound like people signing in, my room almost shake because i have a powerful sub woofer

Make sure the mic volume is set higher or even maximum on the F3J.

To turn on mic boost go to the Windows Volume control (Master Volume). Then under Option -> Proberties change to Recording. Make sure Options -> Advanced Controls is ticked. Go to Advanced under the Microphone Volume control. There is a check box for turning on Mic Boost.

The mic on my W3J works absolutely fine on Ventrillo and Teamspeak people can hear me fine. The only problem is in a noisy environment the mic will pick up all the ambient sound since it's so far from your mouth.
