my gf has asus f3jp (or f3js i forgot), i can hardly hear her voice and the color on her side is always dark and yellow, i wonder if asus uses crappy build-in webcam on their laptop? is there a way at least to improve her voice quality? she can hear me fine, but i always have to turn up my speakers in order to hear her voice. and once i got other sound like people signing in, my room almost shake because i have a powerful sub woofer

Make sure the mic volume is set higher or even maximum on the F3J.

Tell her to turn on mic boost.

the mic volume on her side is already max out...
how to turn on mic boost? -
my $10 logitech webcam is better than her build-in webcam?? whats with asus laptop?

To turn on mic boost go to the Windows Volume control (Master Volume). Then under Option -> Proberties change to Recording. Make sure Options -> Advanced Controls is ticked. Go to Advanced under the Microphone Volume control. There is a check box for turning on Mic Boost.

tell her to put on a headset
your gonna get echoing using the built in mic -
really?? u need headset? then what's the purpose of that build-in webcam? so disappointed with this laptop

The mic on my W3J works absolutely fine on Ventrillo and Teamspeak people can hear me fine. The only problem is in a noisy environment the mic will pick up all the ambient sound since it's so far from your mouth.

so it sucks ...
Does the webcam came with it sucks??
