    Hi!

When I close the lid on my G50Vt-X1 the lights on the lid blink on and off like a heart beat. It continues for hours like that. I have the power managment to go to sleep and not to hibernate.

It is not a big deal I just wonder if other have the same heart beat on their lappy's

    Thanks!

Sleep causes the lights on mine to flash, not looked on Hibernate but I would have thought they would be off for that to save power.

Lights only flash on sleep. Hibernation means that things are completely powered down and all the data in RAM is written to the HDD, so you will not see any lights in hibernate, except for that pesky Expressgate icon in the touch panel above the keyboard.

Delta CT has it right-- it's sleep only. When it's hibernating there are no lights flashing since it's essentially in the same power state as shutdown. Also, ExpressGate can't be activated during Sleep, but can be activated in Hibernate and Shutdown.

Hmmmm....I don't think it is hibernate then, must be standby. In your "hibernate" mode, is your power button also flashing and if you press a key like Space or Enter, does your notebook start up again?
