I orginally posted this on page 330 of the ASUS u-35 thread but since no one answered I thought I'd ask it where people can actually see it.

I've had a u35 for over a year now and I need to do a clean install. I've been reading some of this thread and a recommendation was

"If would be best if you did a Clean install as this model is LOADED with bloaware and crap you dont really need, if you do decide to do a fresh install, do make sure to install EVERYTHING from the asus support page"

I was just wondering why EVERYTHING?

Also, a while back it was problematic about reloading the optimus drivers. I guess that is a non issue now? Just reload after Windows?

Also, the BIOS update sticky strongly recommends against using the Win flash update utility, but I see a recommendation TO use it in here?

I have the Nvidia Optimus software in computer. I see on the ASUS website 2 different Nvidia drivers. 8.17 which is big and 8.15 which is half the size. Which one do I want to use. I'm using Win 7 64 bit.

    Winflash: avoid if possible

Check the sticky for the asus bloatware guide, this will allow you to decide which utility you want to keep or discard. You will want to install the latest version of every driver available.
