Just got my new Asus M50VM and Dreamscene has started to cause a problem on shutdown...see below for details
I work for IT at Wagner College and I just cannot figure this problem out
Formatted and installed Vista Ultimate
Dreamscene worked perfectly fine for a day or two and then after installing Roxio media manager for my BlackBerry it would stop loading on startup because Roxio was crashing explorer on shutdown.
I uninstalled Roxio and it worked again for a day and now on shutdown it says Program manager is preventing your computer from shutting down...if I shut that down and reboot its a hit or miss whether Dreamscene shows up or whether it says it wont load due to an error in previous shutdown.
When I use a wallpaper/blank screen this program manager error stops...
Any ideas?

Well I know neither the Roxio nor Dreamscene apps, but since the problem appeared only after Roxio installation, and since Dreamscene seems to be more important to you, one almost sure way of getting rid of the problem is to reinstall Windows, and never touch Roxio in the new install...
Or you could try a restore point earlier than the Roxio installation, although I'm not sure that would work. -
Hi - I have exactly the same problem, except that I have never installed Roxio so I think this is just a DreamScene / Asus issue. I have an ASUS M50VM.
As described, I get the program manager message on shutdown and then more often than not, the message that DreamScene has been blocked as exporer did not close properly.
Hope someone can post a solution.
