    Driver Disc

    I just got my new Asus, am I supposed to run this driver disc? Or does this just have the drivers that are allready installed?

    It should be working fine, you don't need to install the drivers again. Save the disc in case you need to reformat your hard drive. You do want to run windows update at get all the patches for your new laptop.

    Thank you. One more thing, My screen doesnt look so clear at max settings. Ive heard of a problem where I might have to flash my bios, how do I do this? My screen is at max res 1280X800 looks very dull, no sharpness to it. I guess it falls under the grainy issues, it looks like crap,lol. my system is a f3jp running vista 32 bit home premium.

    your screen res should be higher than that. Download the latest graphics drivers. It's the X1700 in that am i right? Make sure the drivers are installed and then turn the res up and turn cleartype on- it makes it look better lol

    sorry the graphics are 1280x800 on that one. but still try the clear type thingy lol

    im not sure on vista but in xp its in display properties. Under appearences there is a option called effects. Its in there. Might be the same in Vista. Have a play about

    It should be in the Control panel.

    You may or may not have it installed, but you can grab it from the Windows website.
