My son has an ASUS s96s. It has a Nvidia GeForce 8600M GS. His games aren't working and we called Microsoft. They said he needs a driver update. We went to the Nvidia site and it gave us a message that the driver was changed by ASUS, so we needed to download a driver from the ASUS site. His current driver is 101.19.

When we went to the Asus site we did not find an update. Can anyone help me with this?

I tried to search this site for previous posts regarding this, but we have WildBlue and exceeded our allowed MB, so we have been kicked down to a very slow speed and it took forever for the pages here to load, all for the very low price of $80/month.

    Thanks!
    Donna

Don't call Microsoft for help if you have problems with games, maybe it's Microsoft game I don't know.

Not sure what OS you have on your laptop but try this vista 32 driver:

1: Uninstall your current driver and reboot
2: Download the driver and extract into a folder
    3: download Modded INF
4: copy and paste Modded INF into the driver folder
    5: run setup.exe
    6: reboot.
