I put a dvd in my laptop but my computer keeps trying to read it and it never successfully shows the dvd icon in "My Computer." I'm trying to play the movie and not waste the 5 bucks spent at blockbuster. What does this mean?

Do you have problems reading any other DVDs?
You could try cleaning the DVD, and if it still doesn't work, you can complain at the desk to the store and rent something else.
