Just wondering what the best driver sequence would be on a fresh install on a Z70V? Chipset first and then the rest? Does it matter? Any advice would be great.. not sure if there is any specific order that the model would require... thanks for the help!

i just did all that to my Z63a. i just went down the list on the autorun on the drivers disk and everything seems to work. a couple of them needed sp1 or 2, which i hadnt done yet, so i had to go back and redo those.

I would install WindowsXP and then the latest service pack. After that, I'd go with the ATK0100, the Intel INF's and then the video driver. After that, the rest and then a full windows update.

lol, i had to go to windows update like a dozen times to get all the updates!
install, reboot, install, reboot

thx for the advice.. hopefully this gets rid of the @()*#&!()@*#&)( black screen thing...
anyway itll be nice and clean then and I can get chc to boot up first and give me lower temps!
then off to oc my gfx card and hope and i dont have to go through a fresh install again... also do you recomend formating just the partition with xp or the whole drive... im kinda siding towards just xp and defraging the other drives but it might be cleaner with the whole thing.. ideas? cheers!

Actually you said it best. As long as you can lose the data on the other partitions, formatting the whole hard drive will give you a cleaner install and you won't risk bringing any corruption into you new installation.
It takes longer in the beginning, but it may well save you lots of time later.
