*My Taskbar has the Nvidia icon for increased performance and Intel(r) extereme graphics icon is just there. Cuurent power plan: high performance

    1) Is this right to say that my laptop has dual gpu?

2)How come does it say that the data (technology, directx support, etc)\ is UNKOWN for the nvidia gpu?
    3)What is ROPs?
4)Why is the pixel fillrate smaller in nvidia than intel?
5)any comments to enlighten me on reading this data

I got the demo and ran it scored barely 1800. The online result for the gpu writes; Generic VGA? Why? Is it refering to the generic monitor? Did it use the intel or nvidia.

CPUID Hardware monitor also states that i have a su9400. Whats up with that? Canyourunit.com used to say that my processor was rated at 2.4ghz instead of 1.4ghz. whats up with that?

The UX50v comes with hybrid graphics, so yes, you have two graphics solutions. The GeForce 105m is for 3D gaming and the like, while the intel GMA is for mundane stuff like movies and web surfing.

I tried disabling the gma from the device manager, but it just ran into a problem.
Basically i would like the nvidia to be the only one running. so it doesnt switch back and forth

Any particular reason why you only want the 105m only, period?

i dont like the idea of the gpus being switched back and forth. its kind of like do i want prius engine running when the ferrari engine will take care of all the work?

    I'm not sure that's a good analogy.

But if you don't mind the computer running hotter and draining more power than it has to, I think there's a way to disable it in nVidia control panel. Not sure though.
