I currently have an external monitor hooked up to my W3J...my question is this...

Can I run 2 separates desktops on each screen or no? I know you can do that with some dual monitor setups.

I'm looking... If I knew how to do it, I wouldn't be asking IF I could...and just because something exists on computer A doesn't mean it does on computer B

it's easy, if you have already hook up your external monitor to your laptop, all you have to do is to go into video properties and do it from there.

I've messed with everything in there.... I've cloned the screen, extended it, blahb lah blah... I want 2 separate screens I cans witch between that have 2 separate tasks going on... IE I could be watching a DVD on one and surfing the net on the other...Or playing a game on one, and surfing the net on the other, etc.

    edit:

Oh okay I see how it works... I have to physically drag windows over to the other monitor...

    Next question:

Say I'm playing a game and I just want to switch to the other monitor but I don't nescesarily wwant to have to mouse all the way over...what do I do?

Depends what game, as if it is not in windowed mode, you can't move your mouse over.

I would think that switching screens from A to B, then B to A would be possible, but it would take quite a bit of delay due to the connection switching back and forth, so its not really worth it. I had my 20" and my V6(15") on dual mode, it was useful, but in the end, I'm just using my 20" due to the size difference(Same resolution though).

Viveck one way you can do it is, run the game on oen monitor but in windowed mode, and in the other screen have your Browser, then you will be able to alt+tab between them.
