I received my EEE 1000h on Tuesday and I am VERY impressed. I feel like it is the perfect size, the screen is absurdly bright and the keyboard is very easy to type on.

I know this laptop is no powerhouse, but so far i have been satisfied with overall performance. Windows XP boots up very quickly, and everything is snappy and responsive even when multiple programs are running. The laptop came with little to no crapware which is also a big plus.

Wifi on this thing is a dream. I bought a wireless N router along with the laptop and internet speeds are much faster than on my older AW laptop. The multi-touch pad makes browsing the web a pleasure ( 2 finger scrolling, 3 finger back and forward).

I have yet to run a battery stress test but on normal surfing with screen at 100 percent brightness i got about 4.5 hours which is more than enough for me.

Overall I am very impressed with this little netbook... I will post pictures soon. (if you have any questions-- feel free to ask)

The one thing stopping me from getting the newer Eee PC is whether or not the Atom CPU performs better in terms of performance compared to the Celly in the older models.

Thanks. I was debating on this vs MSI WIND and may lean towards the EEE. First though, how is the heat and noise on this? Also, when you had multiple programs running, what in general were they?

I was thinking about getting an EEE 1000H in addition to a G50V-A1.

Can you tell me whether it is small and quiet enough to take notes in a small class (less than 10 people)? Note that the desks that are in my school are those crappy half desks that are slanted and built for written notetaking.
