I have a EEE 1005, it works pretty well, but I've recently run into an issue with the fan.

Seems the fan is running all the time, even when idle. I don't think there is a heat issue, it's reporting 46deg C.

Anyone else run into this issue?

    Regards,

    Mike

I ask because it didn't do this before... Seems odd that this would be considered "normal". Anyone else have the same experience?

Mine runs at 40'c idle, and the fan is running. Seems to run all of the time.

since the fan noise annoys the crap out of you it draws attention to itself so it sounds twice as loud.
