I can't seem to be able to find an owner's lounge for this product, so apologies if I'm mis-posting this question.

Does anyone know if the EEE slate (EP121) has a standard SSD inside that can be upgraded from the base 32/64Gb easily, and whether the 2/4Gb of RAM can be upgraded?

This machine fulfils my very particular requirements, but I'd like to beef it up a little if it's possible.

I found videos on the SSD and wireless card - useful stuff. Couldn't find anything about RAM. Does anyone know what RAM I'd need to get and how much I can put into the EEE slate?

There is a forum just for the 121 under tablet review at the top of the page. I have one, bought a display model 2/32 and replaced the ram with either 10600 or 10700. It only takes one stick, so 4 gb is as much as you will be able to put in there. I also replaced the stock ssd with an Intel 310 80 gb, and the performance jumped. It is not too hard to do, the ram and ssd and wifi card are easy to get to, you just have to be careful opening the case. Best bet, let your fingernails grow a bit to get a good bite on it, then use a credit card to run around the edges. Once it is split all around, be careful when you pull it open, as there is a ribbon cable on one side you don't want to pull out. You should check out the forum, it is under tabletpcreview at the top of the page, then scroll down to Asus, and it will be the highlighted forum all by itself. A lot of great info there, and a lot of owners willing to answer questions and help.
