They start to crawl in by Mid February, with 'refreshes' coming every few weeks from what I've heard from these guys.

The official naming is 'j' :)

edit: 'They' meaning the Dual cores and not the v6j!

    what?

You're not going to be able to have one in your hands until into March. We're told not to expect our shipment till at least the first couple days of the month.

What does your crystal ball suggest pricing might be on the core duos?

If you guys really want a dual core you really should just wait for the 64bit chips its not that much farther off and vista will be ready by then as well. I was gonna get a new notebook but im holding off by then plus i want to see what asus has to offer by them im sure they will have entirely new ensembles.

I was thinking this too. But I'll probably get a new ensemble 1/2 years down the line (when 64-bit computing has established itself further)

Right now, I'm enjoying my w3v alot :D

My current pentium M can handle anything ive thrown at it so far. So ill just wait to get the 64bit with vista for the best possible performance. Plus i leave all the real heavy duty apps for my desktop i dont want it to feel neglected.
