Here's a quick and easy trick that will throttle the cpu in increments. This can be used to control the fans to an extent. Go here: http://nicespiral.com/cputhrottler/ and use that web based program to throttle the CPU.

I used it to spin my fans up to about 70% speed and then played COD4 for an hour. Max temps reached were 84*.

You can use other programs that put a load on the cpu as well, such as folding@home, but this web based program uses almost no resources when opened in firefox and you can also use it to fine tune about how fast you want the fans spinning.

It's not a total fan control solution but it's a temporary fix for now. Keep an eye out for new posts from me soon. I've got a pretty interesting hardware mod that should make a drastic improvement to temps coming soon.

Also, if there are any linux fancy people out there or anyone who knows how to read a DSDT table better then me PLEASE send me a PM. I'm trying to find a way to rewrite the temperature trigger points in the DSDT. Unfortunately, I'm having a really hard time finding which values to change. If you do not know what I'm talking about please do not PM or bring this part up in this thread thanks!
