    ASUS has introduced a concept of EcoBook ecological laptop. According to the manufacturer, the device is made of environment-friendly materials. It is packed in a bamboo-clad shell. Beyond its environmental matters the EcoBook stands out for design: it can undergo several treatments, making each EcoBook distinct from another. The advantage of the bamboo is that it is found in abundance, grows very quickly, and opposed to plastic it is biodegradable.

    The EcoBook has successfully passed robustness test even under extreme conditions: it accompanied a Mount Everest expedition. The company provided no details on the mass production dates.

    Actually, if you look at the Asus sticker on an Asus notebook, they have been claiming (for a while) that they manufacture their notebooks with an eye toward being eco-friendly. They even have a web page for it:
