    Hello all

There are many threads on how to enable/disable the ASUS start sound. I would like to know if the sound can be changed or edited. I think it would be really cool to replace it with some kind of file with a computer-generated voice saying something like "Please identify yourself" or some other statement. Suggestions (nice ones) gladly accepted. :)

    Cheers

    Joe

No, it's hard-coded into the BIOS.

You can edit the Windows startup sound, however, but not before login afaik.

It might be possible to do with some hardcore BIOS reverse engineering/modding... :) but I'm not sure it's worth trying to do it.
