So the Eee PC 1225B (soon to be released) claims that it can output Full HD 1080p via HDMI. I'm kind of confused by this statement, since the native resolution on the 1225B is only 1366x768.
If I have a 24" monitor with 1920x1080 native resolution, what happens when I connect the 1225B to my monitor via HDMI? Will the monitor show a resolution of 1366x768 or 1920x1080?
Please excuse my ignorance, as I have no idea how things like this work. By the looks of it, the older Eee PC 1215 series (1215B/1215N/1215T) also has this feature. Anyone care to comment?

it would output at 1920x1080, play movies at that resolution as well

Do you think a processor like the AMD E-450 in the 1225B would be able to deliver smooth framerates on a 24" 1080p monitor while running HD movies/YouTube videos? Maybe even do some Photoshop CS5?
I'm asking because my current Core 2 Duo (2GHz) laptop can't even run 720p videos on YouTube without heavily skipping frames. Photoshop CS5 is also a bit slow on the Core 2 Duo when dealing with larger image files.
I'm planning on using the 1225B as my "main" computer so that while I'm at home, I can hook it up to my monitor/keyboard/speakers. I don't game at all, so I'm mainly just concerned about multitasking etc. -
The search isnt working, and this is the only 1225B thread I can find so far. Got one yesterday.
Trying to find out if I can combine the partitions C and D, *without* blowing away the recovery partition, which is in between them?
Eee PC 1225B: 1080p HDMI output? Does this mean it will output 1920x1080?
