not bad, also the system runs completely silent, no sounds at all, there is no fan also, the entire notebook is a heatsink.

too bad I can't run 3DMark06 on it.

I have to say, I'm underwhelmed. A few SLIGHTLY more expensive choices and it would be a rockin' machine. 10" screen, regular cpu instead of a celeron, etc. Is the HD upgradeable?

    Thanks for the pics, Ken.

From your point of view... is it really that small? That picture with the W5... it really makes the EeePC look tiny. I dont' think I'd be able to use that thing comfortably...

What you see on the image is the actual LCD, the thick border around it is the LCD bezel.

It's small, I put a CD next to it so you'll have idea of how big is it, let's put it this way, it's a 7" PDA with KB.

Nice, I'm grabbing one for sure, too bad nothing up here has it or is even close.

Any American dealers wanting to sell me one? :p

It's not out yet, a small shipment will ship to US by the end of October.

I took those pictures 3 weeks ago and just got their permission to post it today. :)

I just don't know if I would get enough function out of one, considering I am on a college student budget. I would definitely love to play with one though.

The black one doesn't emphasize the black bezel as much as the white one for sure, but I still like the white one better.

Jeez, and I though the W5 was small :)

I am not sure if the RAM is upgradable but I'll find out.
It'll be available in both colors.

One other thing (problem?) is it does not have internal OS backup and it does not have a CD-ROM, the recovery disk is on a CD so if you need to recover it you'll need to find a external CDROM.

I've heard the larger units(4gb/8gb) have one slot, and are upgradable. Of course, heard only ;)

The CD rom does pose a problem, but it's easily fixable, a 5.25" enclosure and a decent Lite-On DVD+/- writer shouldn't be more then $40~$50.

Hmm.. I thought the black model is the lowest spec'd model? And that the higher spec'd models only come in white.. is that true?

Does that seem low? Which cpu are they using? a Celeron p3?

My w3j uses 20-25watts while on battery.

These batteries are 5200mAh @ i'm assuming 7.2 or 7.4V. Thats about [email protected]=~35 watts So they're drawing 10 watts on battery. Ok, that's lower than I would have anticipated. But, it doesn't seem low enough compared to the fact that my cpu is much more powerful and I have a dedicated graphics card, larger lcd and a harddrive spinning up? hmmm, i'll have to look into this one more.
