    Hi

I hoping someone here might be able to help me out. I got this notebook yesterday it worked great until I decided to do a bios update with winflash. After rebooting it said it was erasing then it shut off and now it won't boot.
It isn't totally dead it charges and when I switch it on I get the green light just nothing on the screen. I've noticed if I have a usb drive attached its being read at boot as the lights flashing on the drive when I switch it on. I was thinking it might be trying to recover by looking for files on the usb stick. I've tried putting the bios file on it and renaming it to amiboot.rom but nothing happens.

Is there anyway of recovering it or am I gonna have to send it back?

    Thanks

If this is new then I would call Asus. If you got it on ebay most likely you voided any warranty you had by updating the BIOS. Only time I update my BIOS if I am having problems with my laptop. If it's working great then leave it alone...you are only looking for trouble. Hopefully someone will be able to help you out here. Good luck

Yeah i know it can be risky but i thought if i updated it now it would avoid problems when i upgrade to windows 10. I've upgraded the bios on other computers in the past without any problems but never through windows so wont be touching winflash again.... I gave up trying to get it working anyway and sent it back to argos for refund just said it wasn't working  I'm just waiting for my new one to come from amazon now. I think ill leave the bios alone on this one :D

    Thanks anyway
