engadget.com (a cutting edge tech site) is just now covering the release of the W5a. Comparisons to the iBook and the like... if you look hard enough I'm sure you could find some contradictions to what everyone knows to be the configuration that has been out for MONTHS now... but whatever. here's the link:

Like you said.... contradictions to what everyone else already knows... been out for months.... engadget is far from cutting edge [
] ... But we all know what you meant... and any review is a good one.
Thanks
Thanks,

well I thought they were all about the "latest and greatest" but I have found that if you are following a specific tech you can almost always beat them to the punch. I did a search for "ASUS" on their site a couple of weeks ago and came up pretty much empty-handed.

Right..... if they did a W5 review say in February... they would on top of things.... but regardless, it's something else to look at, I'm just saying they're hardly on top of tech if they are just reviewing it now.... They might be on top of everything else and that would make everyone who already have a W5 just that much more in touch with Asus' stuff..... thats' all.
Thanks,
Justin

engadget is just such a asus basher. Did you see the hateful review of the s5ne from them? Its like they have a personal vendetta.
Whats funny is that ANY white notebook is deemed a ibook clone which is ridiculous. Averatec 1000 series (10.7 widescreen in white) was also called a ibook clone from engadget. Ibooks dont even come in that sizeIf anything the averatec look like a Sony T series, but apparantly apple owns white AND translucent blue. According to one of the engadget forum posters, Apple sued a company for making translucent blue computers soon after the iMAC came out.... and won
